Implementation

Gated Networks implements its API Service solution through coordination with local Implementation Partners who already have access to the mobile network core and can integrate the Gated API Services into existing relationships and infrastructure.  As the Partner already has connectivity to the mobile network signaling core, adding the Gated API Services to the existing Partner platform creates a “win-win-win” for participating MNOs, the Partner and Gated.  Gated retains overall responsibility for the API Service solution while the Partner is responsible for local implementation and contracting with participating MNOs. 

Gated Networks Role

Identify and contract with API Service Customers (Fintech, IoT, etc.) and provide overall coordination of the API Service solution:

• Identify industries that can benefit from API access to MNO 3G and 4G core data services. 
• Build and operate the HTTP/JSON API services used by API customers.
• Invoice API Service customers and pay per-query fees to participating MNOs via the Local Partner.
• Develop new use-cases with interested customer groups. 

Implementation Partner Role

Local deployment partner who contracts with participating MNOs to connect to the 3G and 4G core network for delivery of API services.

• In-network signaling element with 3G and 4G connectivity.
• Contract with MNO for API Service program participation.
• Pay participating MNOs for approved 3G and 4G queries in support of approved API Services.

MNO Role

Contract with Local Partner for Gated API Services and provide access to the 3G and 4G signaling core for approved API Services. 

• Support Local Partner with 3G and 4G signaling network connectivity.
• Enter contract extension with Local Partner for payment of per-query fees for all signaling network activity associated with Gated API Services offered via the Local Partner platform.
